Why we exist

Most businesses don’t have time to vet dozens of carriers and vendors, decode contracts, or chase support tickets across a dozen providers. They end up overpaying, under-protected, and stuck with whoever called them first. We started DisruptionIO to fix that — to be the advisor in your corner who knows the whole market and is paid to get you the right answer, not to push one product.

We’re not a reseller for a single carrier. Because we work across 400+ suppliers, our recommendation is based on what actually fits your business — budget, locations, growth plans, and risk. The breadth is the point: it’s how we stay objective.

A British Columbia–based technology advisor and founder, Russ has spent his career helping businesses cut through technology complexity — from connectivity and circuits to cybersecurity fundamentals. He favours the unglamorous work that actually keeps a company running.

Marc Kester

Co-Founder

With 25+ years in telecom sales — much of it at Rogers/Shaw building partnerships across British Columbia — Marc turns complex connectivity into solutions businesses can rely on (SIP, VoIP, MPLS, UCaaS and more). Off the clock, he’s a paid-on-call firefighter with Whistler Fire Rescue.
